Public Speaking: -
Public speaking is a skill and way to deliver the thoughts before public or audience. Public speaking gives us an opportunity to speak live before audience. But when we get opportunity to speak in front of the people, we seem unable to speak and get hesitation while speaking, it shows the fear of public speaking, and public speaking fear is known as Gossophobia or speech anxiety.

5 effective points to remove public speaking fear: -

Don’t hesitate from unknowns
Generally, someone gets fear while speaking before the public due to lack of experience of public speaking and confidence. Actually, this is not public speaking fear rather it is only nervousness. But think, “Why does someone have public speaking fear and how one can remove it?” We need to eradicate it before it eradicates us. It also comes due to negative or over thinking: - What will people think? Would I speak proper or not? Would I be able to maintain eye contact or not?
In such conditions one mustn’t be thinking about public’s reaction. One needs to focus on that thing which has to be spoken. Everyone should speak fearless. And important thing is that we think people will think wrong about us, it is only a misconception, people do not think anything. One who listens you keenly, will certainly know the hesitation of speaker and one who doesn’t listen is not someone you need to worry about.
Be Confident
It is also big part of public speaking. People may not notice your nervousness, but you can realize it within and that can ruin your speech. Because of confidence, we can speak and deliver perfect those things which we want to speak. Confidence gives us courage to stand among people. It removes our public fear while being on stage. Do not focus on the reaction of audience; keep the thought in mind that made you be there. It helps you in becoming confident.
Always Participate in Group Discussion (GD)
A group of people discuss about any topic for sharing their point of views, ideas and solutions to solve and talk about problems is known as group discussion. If someone wants to overcome fear of Glossophobia (public speaking fear) then he/she can do GD with friends or with classmates in school/institution. Group discussion gives us opportunity to remove Glossophobia. In GD we get to speak on different topics, everyone gets new ways to speak before friends and teachers and get awareness about lot of things as well. Group Discussion gives awareness about particular thing as everyone discuss their knowledge, information and opinion about the topic.

Adopting a bad habit is always easier rather than forgetting a bad one. Robin Sharma Said- “When he used to study in school that time, he got many opportunities to speak and participate in school programs. When he used to get opportunity to speak then he would refuse to speak. He used to bunk the classes due to fear of speaking.”
When he came in profession, this fear created many obstacles for him. It saddened him many times. One day he got to know about Brian Tracy who is great American speaker and self-development author. He started taking public speaking classes to remove fear of speaking before people. Now we know him as biggest example and he is author, speaker and booker award holder. I make you sure that it will help to remove public speaking fear.

Removing public speaking fear is not impossible task. It seems hard but it is not. It demands practice; experience should be there. But it does not mean that we can’t speak in front of people if without experience. Every master was once a beginner only. It needs practice. If someone knows all these points it would be helping always. Just keep in mind that don’t get fear while speaking, speak before people fearlessly. Always be confident when you are on stage. Believe in yourself, do not think about people. Always take a deep breath; it will help you to be calm.
