What is Communication? - The transfer of information from one to another in any of the following form, leading to an understanding of what is required:
• Speech (speaking)
• Gestures (signals, movements)
• Writing
Information is passed from one person to another using 3 elements of communication,So here are some important elements of Communication:
• Vocal: This includes the variety, quality and the pauses (voice modulation) and what a person actually wants to say.
• Visual: This includes eye contact, posture, gestures and facial expression.
• Written: This includes the written word in the form of letters, e-mails, etc.
Difference between Conversation and Communication
Have you ever heard something like effective conversational skills? Obviously, Not! It’s always been a point of argument to know the difference of conversation and communication. Many people treat them as synonym of each another. But communication is quite different from conversation.
Conversation: - When you talk to someone and you don’t select the words, you just speak them as they come out, it is conversation.
Communication:- When you talk to someone or even deliver a talk before an audience of 5 people or one thousand people, If you select such words which can create positive aura around the word, and the selected words have been selected while having this thought in mind that what kind of aura would they make when they would come across an average mind then it is communication.
Simple Process of “Effective Communication Skills”
• Listening: - In this, a person listens and listened thing reaches in mind of listeners.
• Understanding: -In this, a person understands sentence & tries to translate it in his/her mother tongue for better understanding.
• Making: -In this, a person makes reply in mind by combining all required things.
• Speaking: -In this, a person speaks the most suitable answer or reply having proper pronunciation and intonation.
.
Always remember If your mind is not SILENT then you can never LISTEN. Eventually we must remember that God has blessed us with two ears and one mouth because God also wanted us to listen more and speak selectively so “Speak in such a manner that people will love to listen you & Listen in such a manner that people will love to speak to you”
