Difference between Let’s and Let us

We all have read many similar words in the English language. There are so many words that seem and sound the same but have different means and usage. In this article, today we will discuss about such words, let us and Let’s. Both the words sound almost the same and seem the same too. But in this article, we are going to discuss the differences between both the words. Let’s start: -
LET’S
This use of English sound similar to the above one but it is quite different. It does not give the sense of seeking permission but give the sense of being so friendly and togetherness. It is the use which give the answer of ‘shall we?’
It seems like the contraction of ‘let us’ but has different meaning from it. It is used in a very casual way. Let’s see some examples: -
1. Let’s make the arrangements for the party.
2. Let’s go to office.
3. Let’s think for good future of students.
This was the basic and general difference between Let us and Let’s. Hopefully, this article would help you to see the difference between both.
LET US
This is the use of English. When you use Let us, it gives a sense of seeking permission. It can replace the use of allowing us. There is not much difference between allow us and Let us. Both can be replaced at each other place.
The minor difference is we generally make use of allowing us when we are seeking permission for the future and we use to let us when we are seeking permission for the present.
Let’s see some examples: -
1. Let us make the arrangements for the party.
2. Let us go for office, we are getting late.
3. Let us use this teacher for good future of students.
